Sherlock's Sounds
Oxfordshire Wedding
I was called slightly after 12 on Saturday June 27th asking if I could provide my PA gear for an event in Oxfordshire and I needed to be there by 2pm! I managed to arrive around 3pm and was directed to the venue - an enormous greenhouse in the amazing grounds of a beautiful house. I setup all my gear - wireless mics, wireless IEM's, 2 x 500W Wedges, 4 DI's for two keyboards, mic for Electric Guitar, mic for Saxophone. Trumpet didn't need miking! The speakers were provided and were dB sound tops and subs. The lead singer was trying to get his IEM mix right and I was struggling to sort it out so two full time sound engineers looked after the mix for the monitors and the Front of House. The band played from 10-12 then a DJ from 12 to 2am. By the time I'd packed all my gear up it was 4.30am and I eventually rolled into bed at 5.30am. The dawn was spectacular.
